Parvati is referred to as the mother of the Universe as most of the Goddess are a reincarnation of Her power (Shakti).  She is known to eliminate the sufferings of Her believers.  Goddess Parvati has 108 names and there is a symbolic meaning associated with each one of them.  We will celebrate Her many forms and learn more about Her.

She brings balance between home life and spiritual life.  Her devotion to deity is enormous and She gives all to ensure that spirit has a place in home and family life to bring order to the world.  The power of Her Shakti encompasses all those things dark and light which we confront in life.  Come to Her altar to bring forth the magnificence of Goddess devotion into your everyday world and a harmonious home life.  She is also Mother of Ganesha who is remover of obstacles.

Parvati has various weapons gifted to Her by the Gods to destroy evil.  The weapons include Sword (Khadga), Trident (Trishula), Thunderdisc (Chakra), Arrow (Tir), Javelin (Bharji), Club (Khitaka), Bow (Dhanush), Noose (Pasha), Goad (Ankush), Shield (Sipar) and Axe (Parashu).  These weapons were given to Goddess Durga who is one of the forms of Goddess Parvati to destroy evil.

Please bring any symbols of Her to the altar as well as your devotion and love!
