2017 Labyrinth

Aloha Daughters of the Goddess

We continue to receive the blessings of rain and our rivers and creeks and mountains are being replenished in Northern California.  I have daffodils blooming in my yard and buds of fruit trees showing. As we near Winter’s end and feel the buds of Spring peeking through, let’s walk contemplatively and celebrate together the Sacred Labyrinth.  Meditate, walk, seek, dance, laugh, pray….Continue to allow the sustenance of The Mother to rain upon your soul and nourish your journey.  We will ask for Ariadne’s guidance as we walk Her Labyrinth.

Queen of the Labyrinth who’s crown is the Corona Borealis the Northern Crown.

Ariadne or Most Holy is associated with dancing and spiraling motions.  When we dance the Spiral Dance, She accompanies us on our journey.  She is one we call to for untangling the knots in our lives as well as helping to untangle whatever webs we have gotten ourselves into.  She heals at the center of the maze that which needs to be brought out of the darkness, healed and transformed.  She dances with celestial motion to bring forth that which we need to know. How wonderful to call to Her at this time of so much political upheaval around women’s issues and rights.

She is also associated with the Bee, Honey, Snakes and Serpents.  She is also seen as the Snake Goddess of Crete.  Trance dances in spiral formations are representative of the snakes slithering dance and how this movement entrances and transforms us.  Honey Meade is Her sacred elixir.  She is also connected with the Labrys, the shape of the bees wings, and Artemis and Aphrodite and Daughter of Moon Goddess Pasiphae.  Cording and knots are sacred to Her.  Dance, laugh, play, pray and experience the cycle of regeneration.

Bring any of her symbols with you as an offering or gift.  Also wear your cords if you have been presented with them at Dedication or another ritual.  We will hold this ritual rain or shine so dress appropriately as we are outdoors!
