Saraswati is the Hindu Goddess of knowledge & the arts. “ She is the river of conscious that enlivens creation; She is the dawn Goddess who rays dispel the darkness of ignorance.” She transcends the cravings of the flesh and rejoices in the powers of the mind as the patron of pure wisdom. The four Vedas, books of universal knowledge, are Her creation. The Swan is Her mount and personifies pure knowledge. Her herald is the peacock and is a symbol of the arts.
To realize Her one must go beyond the pleasures of the senses and rejoice in the serenity of the spirit. She is the power behind Brahma. In the beginning there was only chaos. Through the sound of Her mantras the universe is filled with vital energy, things began to take shape, “the sky dotted with stars rose to form the heavens; the sea sake into the abyss below, the earth stood in between.”
Come and join us in an evening of chanting Her mantra, bring organization, understanding, learning, music and flow to your life. Please bring a white candle to charge, If you have a set of mala beads please bring them.
