Aloha Daughters of the Goddess,

Blessings to each of you as you walk into the year of 2012!! My sister Priestess Danielle heard it said recently while enjoying a cup of green tea with an old friend that the stories that we share are the most precious gifts that we give to one another in our lifetimes. The stories that are told ~ this is what matters the most.
When we come together in ritual space at the altar of the Goddess, we are blessing ourselves and each other with profound stories of life, creation, passion, connection, loss, survival, rebirth, joy and ten thousand other defining experiences. We are learning from one another. We are holding what is shared as holy and sacred. We are influencing the thoughts, hearts, and journeys of our Sisters. How precious it is that we have this community and that we come together with purpose and intention to tell and hear the stories of women. How blessed are we to learn who we are, where we came from, and that to be female is truly magnificent. May the new year bless each of us with the richness and embodiment of Her stories. I look forward to circling with you and to sharing in your stories and the stories of the Goddess. Our journey continues....

Between 10 and 12 bce or around 13, 000 years ago, Pte San Wi/White Buffalo Calf Woman came to the Lakota Sioux people. For many days Pte San Wi stayed with the Lakota people and She breathed Her mind into theirs, bringing them knowledge of the sacred, of prayer, of their role in the circle of life. She talked story with them and taught them about their own importance, as well as the importance of Earth and about the sacred directions and elements.

We will focus on being Peacekeepers of the Earth and Peacekeepers of women's connections. We will implement ways to overcome the divisive patterns of the patriarchy women have with one another and bring forth true peace and sisterhood. How can we hold our relations from a more holy and precious place. Please bring forth those things you would like to work on regarding peace to all our relations, healing, honesty, truth and integrity. How do you want to nourish the relationships and sacred work you do for the Goddess as Peacekeeper?

For the altar, please bring a candle the color of one of the four directions.
Also wear clothing that is blue, white, gold, red, and/or blue. Bring a symbol of peace for the altar and something for the altar that is a symbol of your work as a Peacekeeper(if you have done this work before).

Please bring a tithe of four bills of any amount tied in a cord from one of the four directions to be gifted to the Oglala Lakota Sioux Foundation.

Women who have taken vows as Peacekeepers will be invited to reflect upon their experiences during this ritual.

If you are interested in participating in this ritual please read our participation information.
