Presenters: Luisah Teish, PhD, Leilani Birely
EarthRise at IONS
101 San Antonio Rd
Petaluma CA 94952

Join two extraordinary women for a celebratory weekend of…

WONDER
This workshop provides an in-depth analysis of the nature of mythology and its impact on our relationship to the Natural World. An examination of present conditions in the areas of land use, global food security, water quality/access, climate change, species extinction, and human culture leads to deeper questions.

WISDOM
We’ll receive guidelines purloined from indigenous cultures (African and Hawaiian) that allow us to release grief and shift into a generative matrix.

WORDS
We’ll discover the power of oral traditions and words, and consider making a pledge to Mother Earth and to self-transformation. Working in small groups, we’ll write a story, poem, or song that expresses a new relationship to nature, self, and community.

WELLBEING
Through altar building, storytelling, music, and dance, we’ll re-new our relationship with the Natural World.

WILDNESS
Prepare to dance and bedazzle!
